Today is always a new day to learn something new and to do something you've never done before. SO! I decided today that i would try some soy milk! I know that a lot of people think it is disgusting or that it may taste weird, but I thought it didn't taste that bad. My mom had previously bough some chocolate mint soy milk. And today when i made a sandwich, I poured a glass of it and tried it. It was so yummy!!
So this morning as usual, getting up is not my way of starting off xD however, I decided to do so a little earlier so that i could enjoy a bowl of cereal before school started. Then I headed off to school as usual (not a pretty sight first thing in the morning! ;) ) Anyway, i went through all my classes as usual and around 10:30 i started to get hungry again. I thought it was weird considering i had breakfast before i left. However, i realized that it was cereal that i ate and normally when that happens i get hungry quicker! Oh goody, i thought. So tried to drink as much water as i could without drowning myself before lunch.
Finally it was time to go to lunch, and today it seemed a little bit easier to eat healthier. I guess since there was more food on my tray made me less hungry after i finished. I had a BBQ sandwich, peaches, and peas. For some reason, i love skim milk, but not many people do. I can't stand the fact that there would or could be a lot of fat in milk so i try to stay away from it as MUCH as possible. After i finished, i decided to get another fruit V8 and cheezits. Now i realize that might not be the HEALTHIEST thing to get, but it seemed good.
Finally, going to my last class (marching band...the last torture of an hour and a half of my life each day.....) my group had to preform this flag project we have been working on for a while. I think that we did a great job today, as well as the other groups. We all have been working so hard! I hope my teacher thinks so!
Finally it's time to go to the gym....I don't know why, but for some reason i seem to dread going there, until half way through my workout i start to get more relaxed with it. I think after a while i will start to get used to the idea of going...what do you think? Anyway, while i was there, the treadmill didn't want to work for some reason, so i went to another one. But the, that one wouldn't work for me either. So i just used it and walked for 30 mins on it. I was kinda mad because i wan't to at least jog for 10...but life doesn't always work the way you wanted to.
Finally I got home, did a little homework then went to take a nap. A little while later, i woke up to have dinner. Mom made beef burgers and tots for my brothers and she and i had turkey burgers with a salad. It was yummy. Another day completed...

A weight loss journey! ( Day 3 )
Well today is Day three of my journey and self motivation seems to be running out quick sometimes =/ I didn't write an entry for day 2 but that was only because I had so much going on. But! I will try to keep them as updated as possible.
So today was definitely a MONDAY! You know how sometimes in the mornings when you wake up and you're just sitting there hoping and praying that you don't really have to get up, it's only a saturday? Well today was certainly not that day. ): Now, in the mornings, i don't even wake up until noon. Soon even the thought about what to eat for breakfast seem like hours away...nonetheless, i got up and get dressed. The i went to the kitchen to make a peanut butter and honey sandwich, also grabbing a water bottle...finally heading off to school.
I went through my classes as normal, until third period came around. Oh boy... Well you see the problem is not the class, it's the fact that i have lunch in the middle of that class. I never realized how tempting and difficult it really is to eat healthy at school! I mean, you always hear about how schools are trying to make it easier for students to eat healthy, and you would have thought that it wouldn't be a problem...well that's certainly not the case! It was so tempting to not go buy some fries and a cookie or two. Or even, to buy chocolate milk... But as i thought about it, i keep telling myself just to stay away and not even look in the direction of my "addictions." So instead, i bought sun dried chips and a V8 (the fruit kind...yum! :D ). Finally after the terrible tempting lunch, it was time to go back to class...phew. Eventually my school day was over, however i still had one thing left to do...workout.
Well we all know that going to a workout is not something you want to do after a long day and then remembering you're still being crammed by all teachers with homework! So i drove one of my friends home and then went to the gas station to get some gas. Then dropped the other friend at home. Then decided i should just go to the gym and get it over with. But to my surprise, it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. Sure at first your muscles get sore after the 5 to 10 mintues of walking but after that, you get more comfortable to start jogging and before you know it, 30 minutes has passed by! May i say this...a good workout does NOT by any means dismiss the soreness after...I was soooo tired, i just had to take a nap. So i went home and pulled out my homework and worked on it for a while, finally deciding just to get some rest.
Once i woke up, i heard that dinner was ready! It was so yummy! We had baked chicken, corn, buttered bread (whole wheat), and i had some salad.
So my day is finally over.

A weight loss journey! ( Day 1 )
Well today has been the first day of my year long journey! I have been soooo excited for the past week to get started! To be honest, I actually thought that it would harder than it actually was (: Hopefully I can keep this self motivation up!
This morning when I woke up, I realized that it was 11 am :D I went to the kitchen and decided I would get something to eat. Normally in the past, I didn't eat breakfast. So this morning, it seemed to be a struggle on what to eat... I went through the kitchen and tried to think about what i could eat that would be healthy. So i grabbed a bowl of cereal - honey bunches of oats...with strawberries...my favorite! I also grabbed some grapes. It sounded like a great breakfast to me! (: Surprisingly, I was full after I had finished...so I was satisfied. (:
Later afterwards, I picked up one of my good friends and brought her back to my house. We worked on a school project for a couple of hours, and then i brought here back home. It was around 2:00 and I was getting hungry again. I was getting worried because normally snack time is when people "over-snack", and i seem to have the same bad habit. =/ But i realized that I didn't have to worry because I still had healthy food in the house and I had thrown out all the "junk" the day before. So finally, I made a peanut butter honey sandwich and had a banana. The fact that organic peanut butter and honey tasted so good together and was yet so healthy excited me even more! (:
Another problem that i normally have is that soda, juice with a lot of sugar and tea are my "snacks" and I had many times before drank too much. So I had substituted them with V8 fruit. It's so yummy! So long soda!
At the end of the day, I had realized that I still had to exercise, so I put in a biggest loser workout DVD that i had bought yesterday, and to my surprise it was a WORKOUT! I was sweating five minutes into it. However, it was refreshing because i could do this in my own living room and i didn't have to run a mile to get a great workout.
Today went successfully and I am proud of my success for my first day.
